Matador Network is one of the world’s leading travel publishers with more than 80,000 articles, videos, and guides all designed to help you make the most of how and where you travel.

In 2023 the team at Matador Network saw an opportunity to utilize OpenAI, the creator of wildly popular chatbot software ChatGPT, to experiment and create GuideGeek, a personal AI travel assistant.

GuideGeek is designed to give the gift of time back to the traveler who is looking to plan their entire trip before they finish breakfast. GuideGeek can help explorers research a destination, book a hotel and a flight (with real-time accuracy), make reservations at restaurants, and help plan activities in a way that no AI assistant has been able to before.

Ross Borden, CEO of Matador Network, joins the Unscaled Travel Show to talk about this new travel AI, the response from travelers so far, how a family can best utilize this software, and if industry professionals should be worried about what’s to come.

Jeremy Long is a writer and content creator based in Las Vegas.
