From time to time, marketing agencies will provide us with samples of products that they represent in the travel space. We are under no obligation to write or talk about these products, and we receive absolutely zero financial compensation for our thoughts.

We only review products that we actually use and feel as though this product may help someone else.

If we, in the future, ever enter into a financial deal with a company that has products related to travel, and we speak on them, we will disclose this upfront.

We always, always, always strive to maintain transparency when / if we recommend products to our audience. We take this relationship seriously.

What is it?

Illuminessence Organics are a line of handcrafted, organic skincare designed to keep your skin younger and healthier longer. For this review we’re chatting about their Happy Trails bug repellant and sunscreen, Itch Fix bug bite reliever, and Love Bug insect repellant.

How do I use it?

Each product is designed to be lightly coated onto your skin or a bug bite.

Would I recommend it?

I recommend all three. For a more detailed dive into each product, check out our audio review above, but the easy answer is that each product delivers on its promise. What I like most about each product is that you don’t smell like a chemical plant after you apply the product.

It’s so irritating to apply bug spray and then spend the next few hours smelling like a refinery. The Happy Trails sunscreen would be great for everyday sun protection with its SPF 30 rating, but if you burn easily or have very fair skin, you may want to have a stronger option on deck.

Beyond that, it’s hard to argue with the effectiveness of these Illuminessence Organics products.
